On September 22, Yawei Wang, Jinshan Chair professor of Jiangsu University, made a report in English at the hall 2311 of School of the Environment and Safety Engineering for over 20 Ph. D students and international master degree students, more than 30 domestic graduate students and teachers, based on the topic of Modern environmental chemistry and analytical technology.

Professor Wang shared his research in recent years with them, also systematically present the status and trends in environmental science. Meanwhile, a broad range of issues were stated, including novel organic pollutants identification in China, analytical method development of Chlorinated paraffins and external exposure of short-chain chlorinated paraffins to the general population in Beijing. The audience were struck by the speech. After the report, some international students discussed with professor Wang about the risk assessment of CPs in environments, other domestic graduate students and teachers believe this lecture will inspire them and enrich their research in the future.

Yawei Wang works as a professor in Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He got many Awards, such as National Distinguished Young Scientists, National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars, National Youth Top Talent Support Program of National High-level Personnel of Special Support Program, the Chinese Chemical Society Young Chemist Award, Lu Jiaxi Prize for Young Scientist of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
