Recently, Analytical Chemistry (the TOP journal in
area of analytical chemistry) published new research of Prof. Yang-Chun Yong
from our school. The title of this research is ¡°Wiring Bacterial Electron Flow
for Sensitive Whole-Cell Amperometric Detection of Riboflavin¡±(Analytical Chemistry,
2016, doi:10.1021/acs.analchem.6b03538)¡±,
which developed a novel whole-cell bioelectrochemicalbiosensing system for
amperometric detection of riboflavin. More importantly, this work introduced a
new concept of bioelectrochemical signal amplification with exoelectrogen and
also provided a new idea for development of versatile whole-cell amperometric
biosensors. The international reviewers highly acknowledged this progress, and
claimed that this research might open up new paradigm for biosensor
design. This is also the first paper published in Analytical Chemistry from the
authors of Jiangsu
University (as the first affiliation).
